What is a Modular Scale?
A modular scale is a sequence of numbers that relate to one another in a meaningful way. In typography, we use a fixed mathematical ratio (like the Golden Ratio, Perfect Fourth, or Major Third) to generate a harmonious set of font sizes.
By using a scale rather than picking arbitrary pixel values, your typography will inherently feel balanced and rhythmically pleasing.
Why use a Typography Scale?
A typography scale removes the guesswork from UI design. It provides a strict, predefined set of font sizes that act as your design constraints.
This ensures that your H1, H2, and P tags visually relate to each other perfectly across desktop, tablet, and mobile breakpoints, leading to a much more professional and cohesive design system.
Client-Side Generation
Everything is processed locally. OmniTools operates on a strict "Zero Server Upload" architecture. When you calculate your typography scales, the mathematics and CSS generation happen instantly within your web browser using local JavaScript.
Your design tokens and configuration are never transmitted to our backend servers.
